A Overview of MTI’s Time-Constrained (30-45 Min) Training Plans for Busy Athletes

Life can get busy. Family and work demand the majority of our time, and often times this will eat into the fleeting training time you have available, regardless of how disciplined you are.

We have multiple plans designed to be completed in 45 minutes or less for the busy athletes out there. Below you’ll find an overview of these plans when you find yourself crunched for time.


Busy Dad (and Mom) Full Gym (BDFG) Packet – General Fitness: 5 Training Plans (35 Weeks of Programming)

MTI’s Busy Dad Full Gym (BDFG) Training Packet is composed of  5 multi-modal training plans. Each plan is built around the fitness needs and time limitations of “Busy Dads” – several of which have emailed us for a multi-modal training cycle whose sessions can be completed in a fully-equipped functional fitness gym and in 35-45 minutes. These plans meet those requirements. These plans can be purchased individually, together with the packet, or as part of the Athlete Subscription.

The BDFG plans deploy the most recent iteration of our Fluid Periodization model and each plan concurrently trains 4 fitness attributes: Fitness Trained

  • Strength
  • Work Capacity
  • Chassis Integrity (functional core)
  • Endurance

Required Equipment: 

  • Fully-equipped functional fitness gym including sandbags (40# women, 60# men), dumbbells, barbells, plates, squat rack, bench, plyo boxes, pull up bar, dumbbells and/or kettlebells.

Busy Dad (and Mom) Limited Equipment Packet – General Fitness: 5 Training Plans (25 Weeks of Programming)

MTI’s Busy Dad Limited Equipment (BDLE) Training Packet is composed of  5 multi-modal training plans. Each plan is built around the fitness needs and time limitations of “Busy Dads” – several of which have emailed us for a multi-modal training cycle whose sessions can be completed with limited equipment and in 45 minutes. These plans meet those requirements. These plans can be purchased individually, together with the packet, or as part of the Athlete Subscription. Fitness Trained

  • Endurance

Required Equipment

  • 40# Sandbag (women), 60# Sandbag (men)
  • Full set of dumbbells (15-45# for women, 25-55# for men) and/or kettlebells. A set of adjustable dumbbells like these will work as well. 
  • Pull Up Bar
  • 16-20″ box, bench or step for step ups and box jumps

Busy Operator Packet – Military: 6 Training Plans (42 Weeks of Programming)

The MTI Busy Operator Training Packet is composed of six training plans developed for tactical athletes with limited daily training time. The Busy Operator training sessions are designed to last 35-45 minutes for tactical athletes with limited training time. These plans can be purchased individually, together with the packet, or as part of the Athlete Subscription. Fitness Trained

Required Equipment: 

  • Fully-Equipped Functional Fitness Gym including bars, racks, bumpers, plyo boxes, sandbags
  • 25# Weight Vest, IBA, or back pack
  • 45# Ruck
