Outdoor Industry Parent Companies According to Wikipedia

By Rob Shaul

I spent several days trying to put this list together myself and using ChatGPT, when wikipedia had done the work already. Click HERE to see the list on Wikipedia – below I just copied/pasted the list. The links go to the brand’s wikipedia pages.

Also included are the headquarter country of the parent companies.

What is interesting is the consolidation in the industry, and how many of the biggest brands are no-longer privately held and run, but are rather divisions in large parent companies including The North Face, Marmot, Arc’Teryx, Salomon, Prana, Jetboil, Camelbak, Chaco, etc.
