Mystery Ranch Base Frame
Anyone who has worn a fully combat loaded plate carrier for days on end knows the trapezius and low back discomfort that comes as a result. The Mystery Ranch’s Base Frame redistributes the load of the plate carrier to the hips, similar to a traditional pack.
A stiff hip belt (with MOLLE webbing for all your mission essential pouches) attaches to the back of your carrier via an insert, taking much of the weight off of your shoulders.
The Mystery Ranch product was tested by our lab rat, and he found the system to be comfortable and applicable to post standing, long range patrolling. It’s easily removable, so you can take it off in a pinch when the mission requires it.
