DESCRIPTION
The Out of Shape Active Duty Air Force PFT Training Packet includes two linked training plans, totaling 10 weeks of training to prepare you for the Air Force PFT. The first Air Force workout plan is designed to build your fitness to handle the volume and intensity of the Air Force PFT Training Plan that follows. You should begin this packet the 10 weeks before your Air Force PFT.
This Air Force workout plan is designed for active duty personnel who need to rebuild fitness and prepare specifically for the PFT events. Over 10 weeks, the packet progressively develops strength, endurance, and test-specific performance for push-ups, sit-ups, planks, and the 1.5-mile run, ensuring you’re ready to perform your best on test day.
The packet includes:
- Out of Shape Active Duty On Ramp Training Plan – 4 Weeks: Prepares athletes for the volume and intensity of the Air Force PFT Training Plan. Deploys Bodyweight Flow, Work Capacity, Bodyweight Core Strength, and Endurance training.
- US Air Force PFT Training Program – 6 Weeks: This plan is purpose-built to prepare you for the specific fitness events of the USAF PFT: (1) push ups or hand release push ups; (2) sit ups, cross leg reverse crunch or forearm plank, and; (3) 1.5 mile run or High Aerobic Multi-Shuttle Run – HAMR.
The Air Force PFT Training Plan includes a de-load/taper week, so the candidate can complete the programming leading directly up to the start date of the PFT.

What if I miss a day?
Begin where you left off when you return to training. This program is progressed – each session builds upon the prior session – so don’t skip a session or skip around. Follow the training sessions in order, regardless.
