Work With Fierce Urgency

By Rob Shaul, Founder

Get to it. Be impatient. Push. Push. Push.

Fierce urgency drives improvement and forces innovation. It doesn’t tolerate dilly-dallying decision-making. Minor problems can’t grow into big ones. You don’t have time for the unimportant.

Urgency coerces improvement, streamlines processes, challenges priorities and refines strategies. It compels a proactive mindset to anticipate challenges and tackle them head-on. This kinetic approach to problem-solving demands innovation and results in breakthroughs.

The proactive mindset drives a forward-looking posture to spot opportunities and act with urgency to seize them.

You never have as much time as you think. Competition, change, and life are relentlessly chewing away the time on your clock. Embracing this is a powerful motivator and working with urgency respects limited time.

This will grate others. Colleagues, superiors, subordinates won’t appreciate or understand your constant push. You’ll be labeled as brusque, impatient, not a team player.

Move them or move on. Find or build your own team and make working with fierce urgency a first principle.
