I’m no foodie … but my wife is. She swears this recipe is the best she’s found. Enjoy …
Ingredients:
- 2 cups minus 4 Tbs All Purpose flour (put 2 cups in, take 4 tablespoons out)
- 2 Tbs cornstarch
- 1 2/3 cup bread flour
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1 1/4 ccupbrown sugar
- 1 cup plus 2 Tbs granulated sugar (put 1 cup in, then add 2 more tablespoons)
- 1 large egg plus 2 egg yolks
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 drops almond extract
- 1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips, regular or mini
Cream room temp butter with sugars, add eggs, vanilla, almond.
Add dry ingredients after sifted.
Mix until the dough comes together, then add chocolate chips.
Chill for at least 24 hours, and preferably 36.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 18-20 min on parchment paper.
